Question by Mason B: Where can i download the ipsw file for an iphone 2g so i can get the 3.0 software?
everytime i download the ipsw file it turns into a folder not the actual file so please help i need this so i can unlock my iphone
i just downloaded the ipsw file and it turned up as the folder again and it is not the actual file why dosent it work?

iPhone’s get a free OS 3.0 download through iTunes. Only iPod Touch users need to pay for it. Either way, check out the first link below for a download, and the second link for a full tutorial on how to jailbreak your iPhone.
